The working principle of plunger pump

The working principle of the plunger pump: The plunger pump relies on the reciprocating movement of the plunger in the cylinder to change the volume of the sealed working cavity to achieve oil suction and pressure. When the plunger pump is working, under the action of the cam on the camshaft of the fuel injection pump and the plunger spring, the plunger is forced to reciprocate up and down to complete the task of pumping oil.
The piston pump is divided into two representative structural forms: axial piston pump and radial piston pump. The plunger pump is mainly composed of two parts: the power end and the hydraulic end, and is accompanied by a pulley, a check valve, a safety valve, a regulator, and a lubrication system. The plunger pump has the advantages of high rated pressure, compact structure, high efficiency and convenient flow adjustment.
Common fault handling of plunger pump:
1. The output flow of the hydraulic pump is insufficient or does not output oil. The reason is that the gap of the pump is too large and the sealing is not good. The damaged part of the pump can be judged by checking the foreign matter mixed in the hydraulic oil in the pump body.
2. The oil discharge is not zero in the middle. Variable type axial piston pump swash plate angle of zero is called the median, at this time the pump output flow should be zero. However, sometimes the median deviation from the midpoint of the adjustment mechanism occurs, and there is still a flow output at the midpoint. The reason is that the position of the controller is deviated, loose or damaged, and needs to be reset, tightened or replaced.
3. Output flow fluctuation. Flow instability is often accompanied by pressure fluctuations. This kind of failure is generally to disassemble the hydraulic pump, replace the damaged parts, increase the damping, improve the spring stiffness and control pressure.
